A familiar feeling, made for now
We’re developing our first Beaufly jean with a simple question in mind: would we want to reach for it often and keep it for years?
The BF-110 is still taking shape. Here we share the choices we’re making, the samples that haven’t worked, and the changes we make before calling it ready.

The details we keep coming back to
A waistband that bothers you after a few hours. A cut that never feels quite right. Denim that looks the part but doesn’t feel like the jeans you remember. These familiar frustrations shape what we test on the BF-110.
The button fly
It’s one of the things we missed most. The BF-110 is designed with a three-button fly: one button at the waist and two below it. It’s a small daily detail, but it’s part of the character we want to bring back.
The straight leg
Our goal is a cut you can reach for on an ordinary day and still feel good wearing to dinner. We have a straight-leg direction in mind. The prototype will show us where the fit needs to change.
The waistband
Our goal is a waistband that feels good throughout the day. We’re developing a soft interior facing and will evaluate its comfort after hours of wear. If it doesn’t feel right, we’ll keep working on it.
Finding the right denim
The BF-110 is being developed around high-quality, 100% cotton denim. We’re working toward the right balance of substantial feel, everyday comfort, and character that develops with wear. A sample also has to feel right when the jeans are worn.

Then we have to wear it
We’ve chosen the direction for the fly, waistband, pockets, and leather patch. The prototype will show us how those decisions work together in a complete pair of jeans.
When it arrives, we’ll put it through ordinary wear and pay attention to the fit, movement, and overall feel. We’ll change what needs changing before we call the BF-110 ready.
Come along while we make them
